UKSSSC Junior Assistant Typing Test — Exam Overview
The UKSSSC Junior Assistant typing test is a Hindi typing test on computer. Under the Commission’s standing typing-test instructions it lasts 10 minutes, is typed in the Kruti Dev 010 font, and needs a minimum speed of 4,000 key depressions per hour (KDPH). It is qualifying: the result is only Qualified or Not Qualified.
Errors up to 5% of the total key depressions are ignored. Above that, 5 correct key depressions are cut for each wrong one before KDPH is worked out. Published coverage of Advt 80/UKSSSC/2026 (Inter Level Group C, including Junior Assistant) reports about 553 posts and a written exam on 15 November 2026; the typing test comes after the written exam and has not been dated. This page opens in Hindi on the Kruti Dev 010 keys with a 14 WPM target (about 4,200 KDPH, just above the bar). TypingHub does not apply the Commission’s key-depression error rule, so treat the result as practice feedback.
How this exam differs
UKSSSC measures speed in key depressions, not words: the minimum is 4,000 key depressions per hour over a 10-minute test, about 13 WPM. The test closes on its own and the result is only Qualified or Not Qualified.
Errors up to 5% of all key depressions are ignored. Above that, 5 correct key depressions are cut for every wrong one, and a wrong Space also counts against you, so accuracy decides the result more than raw speed.
The test is typed in the Kruti Dev 010 font, in typewriter key order. This page opens on the Kruti Dev keys and types Unicode text. Advt 80/UKSSSC/2026 has its written exam reported for 15 November 2026; the typing date is not announced.

Preparing for 4,000 KDPH
Learn the Kruti Dev keys
The test uses the Kruti Dev 010 typewriter order: ि is typed before the consonant and the half letters have their own keys. Keep the Layout on Kruti Dev here.
Keep errors under 5%
Every wrong key depression above the 5% allowance costs five correct ones. Slow down until your errors stay low, then build speed.
Type through the full 10 minutes
The speed is measured over the whole test. Practise steady typing for the full time rather than short bursts.

Understanding Your TypingHub Practice Report
Characters and words
- iCharacter comparison: Ordinary incorrect, extra or missing characters carry full weight in the practice analysis. A single misspelled word can contain several character errors.
- iCase and punctuation: Case-only substitutions and punctuation substitutions receive half weight. Added or omitted characters are counted separately.
- iSkipped or extra words: The report identifies missing and extra words as well as character differences. Read the highlighted passage to understand each mismatch.
Using the result
- iTwo accuracy measures: Character accuracy and word accuracy measure different things. A word counts as correct only when it matches the reference word.
- iPractice targets: A practice pass or fail is based on this test’s configured targets. It is not a recruiting authority’s qualification decision.
- iOfficial evaluation: Check the notice and evaluation instructions for your exact recruitment year, post and category. Do not convert this report into official examination marks.
Understanding Your Typing Practice Report
The arithmetic behind Gross WPM, Net WPM and key depressions. Your notice decides which of these it uses.
Gross WPM
Gross WPM = (total keystrokes ÷ 5) ÷ minutes. Letters, spaces and punctuation all count, and five keystrokes make one standard word.
Net WPM
Net WPM subtracts a penalty for uncorrected errors from Gross WPM. Two candidates with the same raw speed can end up several WPM apart.
Key depressions (KDPH)
Some notices state speed as key depressions. 35 WPM equals 10,500 key depressions an hour (35 × 5 × 60), and 30 WPM equals 9,000.
Full and half mistakes
TypingHub groups errors to help you review an attempt. Full and half weights in this report are practice feedback; use your recruitment's evaluation instructions for official penalties.

Week 4: Exam rehearsal
