Disaster management has become an essential component of modern governance because floods, earthquakes, cyclones, droughts, landslides, heatwaves, and other natural hazards can cause extensive damage to human life, public infrastructure, and economic resources. Rapid urbanization and unplanned construction have further increased the vulnerability of densely populated regions. Effective disaster preparedness therefore requires coordinated planning, reliable communication systems, trained personnel, and resilient infrastructure capable of functioning during extreme conditions. Government authorities must identify vulnerable areas through scientific risk assessments and prepare detailed contingency plans before an emergency occurs. Early warning systems using satellites, weather stations, sensors, and digital communication networks can provide timely information to communities and enable preventive evacuation. Emergency control rooms should maintain updated contact directories, resource inventories, transportation arrangements, and lists of critical facilities such as hospitals, schools, shelters, and water supply installations. During a disaster, rapid coordination between district administration, police, fire services, medical teams, rescue agencies, and local volunteers becomes crucial for protecting affected populations. Temporary shelters must provide adequate drinking water, sanitation, electricity, medicines, food supplies, and communication facilities, particularly for children, elderly persons, and individuals with disabilities. Climate change has increased the frequency and intensity of several extreme weather events, making climate resilient infrastructure increasingly important. Roads, bridges, drainage networks, power systems, public buildings, and communication towers should be designed according to updated environmental and engineering standards. Urban authorities can reduce flood risks by preserving wetlands, improving drainage capacity, preventing construction on natural water channels, and expanding green spaces. Similarly, heat action plans can establish cooling centres, public advisories, medical preparedness, and special protection measures for vulnerable communities during severe temperature conditions. Disaster response also requires accurate documentation because records relating to casualties, damaged property, relief distribution, and expenditure support transparent administration and future planning. Digital mapping and geographic information systems can help officials identify affected locations, monitor rescue operations, and distribute emergency resources efficiently. Regular mock drills are necessary to test preparedness, identify operational weaknesses, and familiarize citizens with evacuation procedures and emergency communication channels. Schools, hospitals, government offices, and industrial establishments should maintain clearly marked emergency exits and conduct periodic safety inspections. Effective rehabilitation must focus not only on rebuilding damaged structures but also on restoring livelihoods, essential services, and community confidence. Sustainable reconstruction can convert disaster recovery into an opportunity to create safer settlements and stronger public infrastructure. By combining scientific forecasting, responsible urban planning, trained manpower, resilient construction, and community participation, governments can reduce disaster losses and protect long-term social and economic development. Rajasthan faces its own mix of risks, including drought, heat waves, dust storms and sudden floods in low lying areas after heavy rain. Each of these requires local planning. Early warning messages must reach villages in time, water storage must be protected during dry years, and public buildings such as schools and hospitals should be built to withstand extreme heat and strong winds. Regular mock drills, trained volunteers and clear communication between district offices can save many lives. Above all, preparedness must be treated as a continuous duty and not only as a response after a disaster.

RSMSSB LDC Test — Exam Overview

Exam & practice guide

RSSB (formerly RSMSSB) Clerk Grade-II / Junior Assistant typing practice helps build Hindi and English speed. Under RSSB’s Phase-II instructions of 12 December 2024, there are four 10-minute papers of 25 marks each: Hindi speed, English speed, Hindi efficiency and English efficiency. Each needs a minimum of 9 marks, and the candidate must clear all four.

The speed papers use a 500-word English and a 400-word Hindi passage. Each correct word earns 0.05 marks in English and 0.0625 in Hindi. Hindi is typed in DevLys 010, and Backspace works only until Space or Enter is pressed for the next word. The efficiency papers are in MS Word 2013 and MS Excel 2013. The practice tool here runs one 10-minute typing attempt with a 28 WPM and 85% accuracy target; it does not run or mark a complete Phase-II examination. Published coverage gives the 2026 written result as 28 September 2026; RSSB has not announced the typing test date.

How this exam differs

3 Points
1

RSSB scores words, not WPM: each correct word earns 0.05 marks in English (500-word passage) and 0.0625 in Hindi (400 words), and each 10-minute paper needs 9 of 25 marks, about 180 correct English or 144 correct Hindi words.

2

Hindi is typed in DevLys 010 on the standard typewriter keyboard, the font is locked, and Backspace stops working once you press Space or Enter for the next word.

3

Half of Phase-II is not typing: two 10-minute efficiency papers in MS Word 2013 and MS Excel 2013 (15 questions per language). RSSB recruitment is separate from the Rajasthan High Court’s.

Recruitment Scope

2 Posts
  • RSSB Clerk Grade-II
  • RSSB Junior Assistant

This is a different recruitment from Rajasthan High Court JJA / Clerk. Use the correct board’s notice.

Practice Scores and Recruitment Marks

  • The 2024 instructions require at least 9 of 25 marks in each of the four papers: about 180 correct English words or 144 correct Hindi words in a speed paper. SC/ST candidates get up to 5% relaxation in the minimum.
  • Prepare for any Hindi and English components separately.
  • A practice WPM or pass indicator cannot be converted into RSSB marks.

Speed and Efficiency Preparation

Typing practice

  • iComplete a 10-minute run on the language you need to improve.
  • iRecord clean speed and recurring errors across several passages.
  • iIn the speed paper, correct a word before pressing Space or Enter; Backspace stops working after that.

Efficiency preparation

  • iThe 2024 tasks covered paragraph formatting, paging, header, footer, font, background, table border, spacing and word replace.
  • iPractise them in MS Word 2013 and MS Excel 2013; Ctrl+Z works, but copy-paste, right-click and Select All are disabled.
  • iDo not assume an ordinary WPM test covers the efficiency component.

Focused Preparation

1

Separate the tasks

Plan time for typing and for the efficiency tasks listed in your scheme.

2

Confirm Hindi input

RSSB uses DevLys 010 on the standard typewriter keyboard; practise difficult combinations on the Kruti Dev keys here.

3

Review the full attempt

Use the report to identify recurring errors before pushing speed.

Understanding Your TypingHub Practice Report

Characters and words

  • iCharacter comparison: Ordinary incorrect, extra or missing characters carry full weight in the practice analysis. A single misspelled word can contain several character errors.
  • iCase and punctuation: Case-only substitutions and punctuation substitutions receive half weight. Added or omitted characters are counted separately.
  • iSkipped or extra words: The report identifies missing and extra words as well as character differences. Read the highlighted passage to understand each mismatch.

Using the result

  • iTwo accuracy measures: Character accuracy and word accuracy measure different things. A word counts as correct only when it matches the reference word.
  • iPractice targets: A practice pass or fail is based on this test’s configured targets. It is not a recruiting authority’s qualification decision.
  • iOfficial evaluation: Check the notice and evaluation instructions for your exact recruitment year, post and category. Do not convert this report into official examination marks.

Understanding Your Typing Practice Report

The arithmetic behind Gross WPM, Net WPM and key depressions. Your notice decides which of these it uses.

4 Measures

Gross WPM

Gross WPM = (total keystrokes ÷ 5) ÷ minutes. Letters, spaces and punctuation all count, and five keystrokes make one standard word.

Net WPM

Net WPM subtracts a penalty for uncorrected errors from Gross WPM. Two candidates with the same raw speed can end up several WPM apart.

Key depressions (KDPH)

Some notices state speed as key depressions. 35 WPM equals 10,500 key depressions an hour (35 × 5 × 60), and 30 WPM equals 9,000.

Full and half mistakes

TypingHub groups errors to help you review an attempt. Full and half weights in this report are practice feedback; use your recruitment's evaluation instructions for official penalties.

4-Week Practice Plan for RSMSSB LDC Test

An adaptable practice routine, not a qualification guarantee. Repeat a stage until your accuracy is steady.

4 Weeks

Week 1: Accuracy base

Touch-typing drills without looking at the keys. Hold 95% accuracy or better and ignore speed for now.

Week 2: Build speed

Two timed five-minute runs a day. Raise your pace by two or three WPM only once accuracy stays steady.

Week 3: Full-length mocks

One full RSMSSB LDC Test mock a day for the exam's full duration. Read the error report and retype the words you missed.

Week 4: Exam rehearsal

Practise at your exam's time of day, on a full-size keyboard, with your notice's backspace rule. Aim a few WPM above the target.
