A free timed test for exams whose typing test is coming up. Each one opens every day in a fixed window until its last day. Attempt it and see your report straight away.

No live test is scheduled right now

New live tests are posted on Telegram when they open. Until then, the practice tests use the same engine, or you can ask for your exam below.

How the Live Test Works

Three steps from the schedule above to your report.

3 Steps

01Window

Check today's window

Each exam shows its daily time window in IST and the last day it runs. Closed tests show when they open next.

02Timer

Type for the set duration

Press Start while the window is open. The timer runs for the duration set for that exam, on the day's passage.

03Report

See your report

Net WPM, accuracy and the full and half mistake breakdown appear as soon as you finish, only to you.

Check Before You Start

Five minutes of setup is the difference between a useful score and a wasted attempt.

Before You Start

Keyboard

Use a full-size keyboard

The real skill test is taken on a physical keyboard. A laptop or desktop keyboard gives you a score that reflects exam day.

Layout

Confirm your language layout

For Hindi tests, have your keyboard layout set up and know the mapping before the clock starts.

Environment

Close everything else

Notifications and background tabs break concentration at exactly the wrong moment. Full screen, no other windows.

Timing

Start well before closing

The timer runs for the full duration from the moment you press Start, so leave enough of the window to finish.

Live Test vs Practice Test

Same engine and same scoring. What changes is the fixed time window and the exam's own settings.

	Live test	Practice test

About

What is the Live Typing Test?

When an exam's typing test is coming up, a free test for that exam opens here every day in a fixed time window (IST), until the last day shown for it. Open this page during the window and press Start. There is no sign-up and no fee.

Timing

When is a live test open?

Each exam lists its daily window in IST and the last day it runs. Before the window the page counts down to the opening time. After the window closes, the test opens again the next day until its last day.

Scoring

How is a live test scored?

With the same engine and report as the practice test: Gross and Net WPM, accuracy, and the full and half mistake breakdown. The report opens as soon as you submit or the timer runs out.

Results

Is there a ranking or leaderboard?

No. Your report is shown only to you, in your browser. It is not saved on our server or compared with anyone else's result.

Passages

Is the passage the same for everyone?

On a given day, everyone who opens the same exam's live test gets the same passage. The passage can change from one day to the next.

Attempts

Can I attempt it more than once?

Yes, while the window is open. The timer always runs for the full duration set for that exam, so start early enough to finish before the window closes.

Requests

My exam is not listed. What can I do?

Send the exam name through the request form on this page, with the expected typing test date and the notification link if you have them. Requests are reviewed by the TypingHub team; a scheduled test appears on this page and on the Telegram channel.
