This page explains what personal information TypingHub.in collects, how we use and protect it, and how you can ask us to correct or delete it. We handle personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Information We Collect
Transparent overview of data points required for typing evaluation and account security
To provide real-time typing evaluation, long-term performance progress, certificate issuance, and account safeguarding, TypingHub collects the following categories of information:
Personal Identification
Full Name, Email Address, and optional Mobile Number provided voluntarily during account creation or certificate profile verification. Competition registration collects your name and mobile number, used to run the competition and contact winners; published results show names with masked mobile numbers.
Typing Performance Logs
Gross WPM, Net WPM, Accuracy percentages, keystroke timing intervals, error category breakdowns, and passage completion archives.
Device & Log Data
IP address, browser, operating system, and request timestamps, used for security, abuse prevention and fixing errors.
Payment Gateway Data
Transaction IDs and order metadata processed via Razorpay. We never store debit/credit card numbers or UPI MPINs on our servers.

Speed & Error Analytics
Calculating Gross WPM, Net WPM, accuracy ratios, and rendering long-term performance growth charts across multiple exam mock categories.
Certificate Verification
Generating cryptographically signed skill certificates with public verification URLs so recruiters can authenticate test qualifications.
Fair Play
Keeping results and leaderboards fair. Pasting is disabled in tests; auto-typers or macros break our Terms.
Candidate Service Alerts
Delivering password reset tokens, security notifications, and responsive candidate support replies.
Third-Party Advertising & Google AdSense Disclosure
Transparency regarding advertising partners supporting free practice tools
To keep foundational typing practice tests, mock engines, and performance tools 100% free for all candidates, TypingHub collaborates with third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense.
Google Advertising Cookies
Google and its partners use advertising cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to TypingHub.in or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com or through the Digital Advertising Alliance at aboutads.info.
Affiliate Links & Referral Cookie
We also load Cuelinks affiliate link scripts, which may add tracking parameters to some outbound shopping links so the retailer can credit TypingHub for a sale. When you arrive through a partner's link, we set a first-party referral cookie (th_cref, kept for up to 30 days) that remembers which partner referred a course purchase. It is not used for advertising.
Non-Intrusive Ad Experience
Advertisements are placed strategically in designated display banners so they never interfere with active typing mock passages, timer countdowns, or keystroke input fields.
Analytical Cookie Transparency
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand page load speeds, page visits and visitor demographics. You can block analytical cookies via your browser without impacting core test access.

Right to Access
Ask for a copy of the personal profile information, test records, and certificate records we hold about you.
Right to Rectification
Update or modify inaccurate account credentials, spelling of candidate names for certificates, or contact emails via your profile settings.
Account Deletion
Email support@typinghub.in from your registered address to close your account. We handle deletion requests by email and confirm when your personal data has been removed.
Grievance Redressal
Privacy contact: support@typinghub.in, for any privacy concern, data question, or withdrawal of consent. We usually reply within one working day.
Data Security & Encryption
How we protect candidate records from unauthorized access
HTTPS Encryption
Pages, API requests, and test sessions travel over HTTPS (TLS) encryption.
Bcrypt Password Hashing
Passwords are salted and hashed using cryptographic bcrypt algorithms; raw plain-text credentials are never stored.
Restricted Access
Database access is limited to our authenticated backend and authorised administrators.
Cloud Hosting
Records are kept with established cloud hosting providers, and we handle personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
