Artificial Intelligence, commonly known as AI, is one of the most important technological developments of the modern era. It enables machines and computer systems to perform tasks that usually require human intelligence, such as learning, decision-making, problem-solving, and language understanding. AI technology is being used in various sectors, including healthcare, education, agriculture, transportation, banking, and scientific research. In healthcare, artificial intelligence helps doctors analyze medical reports, detect diseases at an early stage, and improve treatment methods. In education, AI-based tools provide personalized learning experiences and help students understand complex topics more effectively. Businesses use AI to analyze data, improve customer services, and make better decisions. Farmers are also benefiting from smart technologies that provide information about weather conditions, crop management, and soil quality. Despite its many advantages, artificial intelligence also creates challenges related to privacy, employment changes, and ethical use of technology. Responsible development and proper regulation are necessary to ensure that AI benefits society without causing unnecessary risks. Human skills such as creativity, emotional understanding, and critical thinking will continue to remain important even as machines become more advanced. Governments, researchers, and organizations around the world are working together to develop safe and reliable AI systems. With continuous innovation and responsible implementation, artificial intelligence has the potential to improve efficiency, solve complex problems, and create new opportunities across different fields. The future of AI depends on maintaining a balance between technological progress and human values while ensuring that its benefits reach people worldwide.

English Passage Habits: Capitals, Punctuation, Numbers

SSC asks candidates to type everything as the question paper shows it.

4 Habits
Capitals

Copy every capital as printed

Ministries, acts, courts and cities carry most capitals. Typing india or High court costs half a mistake each time.

Punctuation

One space after each mark

SSC asks for a single space after a comma, full stop or question mark, unless the paper shows otherwise. A dropped comma is a half mistake.

Figures

Type numbers and years as given

If the passage says 2026, Rs. 5,000 or 15th, type exactly that. A figure changed or left out is a full mistake.

Paragraphs

Start paragraphs with the Tab key

SSC counts each paragraph indented with the space bar as a half mistake. Court passages add section numbers and case titles, so practise those at speed.

Keyboard and Finger Tips for English Typing

SSC and DDA instructions name the English (US) keyboard.

  • Rest on A S D F and J K L ; and find home by the bumps on F and J.
  • Press Shift with the little finger of the other hand, and leave Caps Lock off for single capitals.
  • Comma, full stop and slash sit under the right middle, ring and little fingers; Shift with slash gives the question mark.
  • Learn the number row by touch. Years, amounts and section numbers fill exam passages.
  • SSC DEO and the 2019 Punjab and Haryana test give printed passages, so practise some from a printout beside the keyboard.
